Nozzle connectors help gas scrubbing treatment

28 May 2009

Bete has produced a wedge-lock system which can fasten the mounting flange securely in place, yet be quick and simple to connect / disconnect. This wedge system allows the lance to be disconnected from the injection port by removing the two wedges with a slight tap.

Bete application engineers conducted research and then specified the air and fluid connections as commercial cam-lock fittings, which seal and release by the action of only two small levers. Other specific application requirements included the need to place the head of the spray in the centre of the vapour stream, so the length of the entire assembly had to be increased to over 1.8 metres to achieve this. Also, the lance was made from Inconel to withstand the exceptionally corrosive vapour streams.
