The KATflow 150 from Katronic Technologies is an adjustable platform for ultrasonic flow measurement on simple and advanced applications alike designed for permanent installation.
The flowmeter features an IP 66 enclosure with a digital display. It can be equipped with one or two flow channels depending on whether the user intends to measure the flow in one or two pipes or in the so called two-path mode.

The KATflow 150 comes with a standard data logger for up to 100,000 samples, a RS 232 interface and KATdata+ software for subsequent data analysis.
The KATflow 150 can be equipped with PT 100 or analogue temperature sensors which make the instrument suitable for energy metering on HVAC systems. Additionally, it can be used for pressure, temperature and viscosity compensated flow measurement systems. This can be taken one step further by using the optional speed-of-sound measurement function, where the flowmeter can be employed for concentration / density monitoring applications. The available process outputs consist of a current, digital open-collector and digital relay interface. The ultrasonic sensors cover a pipe diameter range from 10 mm to 3,000 mm with special options available for more demanding applications.
An ATEX approved version of the KATflow 150 is expected to be available later in the year.
