UK industry targeted with free audit service

11 June 2009

Heavy industries in the UK are being targeted by a free safety seal audit service. The service is being launched by Bury based international safety seal manufacturer Roxtec. Roxtec’s UK managing director Graham O’Hare said the service will examine the safety standards of cable and pipes in a variety of sectors.

“We know there is a huge pressure on North West industry to ensure people, buildings and products are properly protected from a variety of hazards,” O’Hare said. “Ensuring electrical power and instrument cables and pipes are robustly sealed is critical to this. Our report will examine the standard of safety of cables and pipes and detail a set of recommendations. These recommendations will meet the highest safety standards and will ensure cables and pipes are protected from a range of hazards including fire, water, explosion, radiation, dust and vermin.”

O’Hare said Roxtec designs bespoke safety seal solutions for a huge variety of firms across the world.
“We can work closely with electrical, mechanical and instrument engineers to ensure their designs meet the latest and most innovative standards of safety sealing,” O’Hare said. “This free report will be a comprehensive thorough study undertaken by an experienced professional specialising the sector.”

Roxtec UK’s products can be found in a number of high profile locations including the new Wembley Stadium, Wimbledon’s Centre Court and sealing electrical cables at Rolls Royce’s new jet engine testing centre in Derby.
