A range of battery-operated cable cutting and crimping tools has been introduced to the electrical contracting market by SWA.
The tools, supplied complete with cases, dies and chargers, are designed to be completely portable and ready for use anywhere.

The 14.4 volt battery can be recharged in just 20 minutes, instantly enabling effortless cable cutting and crimping without the hard physical work needed when using hydraulic or ratchet tooling.
The range includes crimping tools suitable for 10mm2 to 400mm2 cable, with a range of head sizes and jaw openings. In addition, there are tools to cut through cable up to 50mm diameter (armoured) or 85mm diameter (un-armoured). SWA also supply a choice of mains power converters, electric hydraulic pumps and spare batteries to complete the tool kit.
The automatic cutting or crimping action of the tools is seen as an efficient alternative to manually-powered tools, saving time and money on site and greatly reducing the risk of personal injury.
SWA also offers a tool repair service which is registered to ISO 9001, and available for any brand of cable cutting or crimping tool.
