ATEX and IECEx resource centre
09 July 2009
RS Components has launched an online Technology Solutions Centre for the ATEX and IECEx legislation to help engineers source compliant products and technical solutions as well as find the latest information about the standards.

ATEX and IECEx resource centre
www.rswww.com/automation contains all relevant information in one place, including details of the legislation and any updates, links to ATEX products and a free downloadable wall-chart that illustrates the structure of the standards.
The site has over 1,000 ATEX approved products ready for next day delivery available to source in one place. More than just products – it provides engineers with an essential source of technology solutions, information and news
Most working with the industry are familiar with the DSEAR legislation, which came into force in 2003; however some may not be aware of the IECEx scheme that is set to introduce global product approval.
RS’ Technical Resource Centre explains these and other changes in depth and enables the selection of the most appropriate products and solutions for individual applications.
Commenting on the launch of the site, Julian Wood, marketing manager, RS, commented: “Keeping up-to-date with new legislation and existing standards can be a full time job in itself. Our new Technical Resource Centre provides engineers with all the necessary information to understand what these standards mean to their business and gives them access to over 1,000 compliant products as well as offering complete technical solutions – all in one place.
“The Technical Resource Centre will be updated constantly with the latest products and news, making it the site to visit for all ATEX and IECEx requirements.”
