Tyco Thermal Controls has made significant investment in its Isopad business with a major expansion and re-equipping of the manufacturing plant in Heidelberg. The factory produces specialist heating solutions for industry and has been extended to increase production capacity by 35% and to accommodate a modern new warehouse/distribution centre.

Isopad is a market leader in industrial electrical heating up to 1000° C and for any operating environment, including hazardous areas. Among Isopad’s notable recent successes has been in meeting the requirements of thin film photovoltaics by developing radiant heating platens specifically to facilitate the production of larger PV cells. Its innovative solution for delivering reliable and uniform heat under vacuum for deposition and lamination processes is in service with major manufacturers of PECVD and lamination equipment.
