Baseefa strengthens its team

Baseefa of Buxton, has strengthened its team with the appointment of a vastly-experienced project engineer.Jeff Healey, from Barry, South Wales, has had 30 years experience in the oil, gas and chemical industries both in the UK and abroad, and also has experience in electrical design, construction and maintenance to ensure compliance with Ex standards.

He joins the company as a project engineer who will specialise in DSEAR regulations, implementing the ATEX User Directive in the UK, and also developing Baseefa's fast-expanding training portfolio.
Allan Ogden, Baseefa's DSEAR and Service Facilities Manager, announcing Jeff's appointment, commented: "We are delighted to have someone as experienced as Jeff on board. We will be looking to him to improve and take forward our services to our customers, both in training and DSEAR work. He will certainly strengthen our team."
Jeff previously worked for Dow Corning of Barry as a site electrical engineer, after spending 21 years with BP as a business and standards consultant, auditor and project engineer, with postings in the Middle East and Europe. He has completed numerous Hazardous Area Classification Studies, writing reports against international standards and the latest European directives.

Jeff has been married to his wife, Lynne for 37 years, and they have three children, two girls and a boy. When he's not at work, Jeff enjoys gardening and photography, and he's just starting a sailing course at Barry Yacht Club.
