Risknowlogy certifies Siemens transmitters

03 November 2009

Technical risk management specialist, Risknowlogy has completed a proven-in-use study on Siemens TH200 and TH300 temperature transmitters. Part of the company’s SITRANS series, the transmitters are used in the process industries and can be used in SIL 2 applications.

Risknowlogy has verified the functionality of the devices, the conditions of use, the field data, and the modifications history for the hardware and software. Based on these results, a reliability study, which included a data analysis, an FMEDA and Markov study, was undertaken. The results of the proven in use study results in a technical report including functional safety data sheets. The functional safety data sheets hold the most important functional safety properties like SIL level, SFF, failure rates, MTTFs, MTTFd, and Diagnostic Coverage.

Risknowlogy provides risk, reliability, safety and certification solutions for the functional safety industry.
