Halifax fan at AchemAsia 2010
23 April 2010
Halifax Fan Ltd is internationally recognised as a global leader in the design and manufacture of industrial fans for use in potentially explosive atmospheres. Offering a wide range of fans for both gaseous and dust laden atmospheres, Halifax designs and builds to the most stringent levels demanded by ATEX 94/9/EC, the European directive covering all such electrical and mechanical equipment and now an accepted standard worldwide.
Fans were identified as a major source of potential ignition and a CEN committee was convened to prepare a standard specifically for the manufacture of fans for use in hazardous areas. Halifax Fan was co-opted to this committee and was an integral part of creating this exacting standard and is fully certified to manufacture and test fans for installations requiring ATEX certification.
Founded over 45 years ago, Halifax Fan has grown to be a global force in industrial fan engineering and today manufactures in both England and China. Halifax has developed its market strength through its ability to manufacture bespoke fans from every type of special steel and alloy and to specifications meeting its clients’ most exacting requirements and able to deal with the most corrosive and explosive gases.
Advanced computer aided design techniques, along with finite element analysis, means that every fan that leaves the Halifax factory has been designed, built and tested to match the application for which it was intended. This evolutionary process also ensures that Halifax fans are stronger, quieter and more efficient, an important consideration in this energy conscious age.
An active vendor to the chemical and pharmaceutical industries, Halifax will be exhibiting and meeting up with clients old and new on stand 31J at the AchemAsia show to be held in Beijing from 1st to 4th June 2010.
