Explosive Substances Live, presented by Denios, is back with a bang in 2010 to deliver informative, lively and thoroughly entertaining experimental lectures. These graphic demonstrations will highlight what consequences can arise when flammable materials are incorrectly handled.
Access Industry Forum (AIF), the umbrella organisation representing the principal trade bodies and associations connected with working at height, is also returning to Safety & Health Expo 2010 with an exciting new programme. The new AIF Knowledge Base will provide a seminar style event delivering informative and current content throughout the three days.
Visitors to the Knowledge Base will be able to source the latest information and gain practical advice about work at height through AIF members’ stands, exclusive seminar presentations and interactive panel debates.
Many of the leading organisations connected with access, safety and best practice will be contributing to the feature, including: the HSE; IPAF (International Powered Access Federation); IRATA (Industrial Rope Access Trade Association); LA (Ladder Association); NASC (National Access and Scaffolding Confederation); and PASMA (Prefabricated Access Suppliers’ and Manufacturers’ Association).
Such has been the success of the AIF area within Safety & Health Expo in recent years that a raft of industry leading associations will be contributing for the first time. These include: APS (Association for Project Safety); BSIF (British Safety Industry Federation); CIOB (Chartered Institute of Building); CPA (Construction Products Association); IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety & Health) and UKCG (UK Contractors Group)
John Lacey, former President of IOSH and current Chairman of IOSH Construction Group, will deliver a keynote address on the first day of the event to kick off the extensive educational programme.
Finally, the BSIF Safety Awards 2010 will recognise excellence within the safety industry, customer service and product innovation. The awards, which will be presented at the RoSPA Safety Awards Dinner on Tuesday 11th May, will be handed out to celebrate the following categories:
