ATEX approved flow monitor

07 June 2010

Flow-Mon has launched an ATEX version of its flow monitor, which utilises i-MON loop-powered position transmitters from Zettlex. The position transmitters use a non-contact inductive technique to measure flow accurately and reliably, no matter whether conditions are hot, cold, damp or wet. The loop-powered units provide local, clear analogue indication of flow, as well as remote 4…20mA electrical signals.

Nathan Smith, Flow-Mon’s managing director commented: "The beauty about Zettlex inductive transmitters is that they are so simple and easy to install – no contacts, no bearings, no maintenance, no messing about. We love it and, more importantly, our customers love it."
Flow-Mon and Zettlex have been collaborating over the last five years, starting from a blank piece of paper and the initial i-MON product concepts, through to full-scale production of the standard i-MON units and now the ATEX i-MON units.
Mark Howard, Zettlex’s managing director commented: "Flow-Mon is a long standing and valued customer. We are delighted that the i-MON transmitters have proved to be such a hit and we look forward to working with Flow-Mon on some further product concepts."
