ATEX approval for power supplies

Puls UK has been granted ATEX approval for a selection of its single phase Q-series units, allowing them to be used in potentially explosive environments. The units have been tested to EN 60079 – 15 and are approved for use in zone 2 hazardous systems category 3G.
ATEX approval for power supplies
Puls claims that no electrical changes were necessary to achieve the approval and that the Standard had been met in essence by dual conformal coating the internal components of the units.
