On-site training at Aberdeen
Contractor personnel required for the Talisman’s 2010 scheduled Turnaround programme have been undertaking half day induction training sessions with Talisman staff prior to mobilisation to offshore assets. As part of the ongoing programme, attendees also use the Centre’s qualitative kits to carry out half mask face fit tests with Draeger’s fully qualified engineers prior to going offshore.
Draeger training courses include induction training and H2S awareness. Typical training sessions are held for between 15 and 20 people and might include face fit testing as well as other essential health and safety procedures. Training on the use, care and maintenance of breathing apparatus and gas detection equipment is also offered. In addition and for added convenience, customers can choose to run their own courses out of the Centre.
State-of-the-art service workshop facilities guarantee cost-effective and time-efficient maintenance of breathing apparatus, personal escape systems and gas detection equipment. In addition, the Service Centre is able to support shutdowns and turnarounds by offering direct access to the full range of Draeger respiratory and gas detection products for short or long term use.
