The Klippon STB stainless steel and sheet steel enclosures range was introduced to build upon Weidmüller’s philosophy of competence and quality in the supply of enclosures and customer solutions for standard industrial and harsh environment applications. The Klippon Cable Glands compliment the Klippon STB, POK, and TB as a sealing and terminating device to ensure that the characteristics of the enclosure which the cable enters can be maintained adequately.

There are Klippon stopping plugs and accessories such as locknuts, IP washers, serrated washers, shrouds and earth tags available. The cable glands are certified according to the latest ATEX and IECEx standards and are marked with the Weidmüller brand.

Depending on the type of gland it is possible to terminate screened, braided, lead sheathed cables as well as steel wire and steel tape cables from M20 to M75. They have a temperature withstand range from –60 °C to +180 °C.

The range consists of Klippon KDSU, Klippon KDSW, Klippon KDSX glands. An electrical bond between the cable armour and the gland is ensured. The gland is fitted with two separate sealings to seal the outer and inner cable insulation. The Klippon KSG gland is designed to terminate un-armoured cables.

Klippon KUB Barrier gland provides a single pull resistant seal on the outer sheath of any cable but is only suitable for Ex d applications. Klippon KSPM and the Klippon KSPA stopping plugs are used for plugging threaded holes before the cable glands are installed.

These glands protect electrical equipment against exposure to mechanical influences by providing a secure and tightly sealed connection with an enclosure. They are also used to protect people against dangers that can arise from using equipment. The Klippon family offers a comprehensive range from which to choose, ensuring that the right one can be selected for each project.
