WERMA (UK) Ltd has launched two new long-life signal beacons: The 782 Ex LED beacons and 281 Obstruction Beacon

782 EX Beacon - Permanent or rotating light
As well as a permanent light variant, a wear-free 782 Ex LED rotating beacon is also available. The LEDs are triggered in sequence, generating an exceptionally intense rotating light effect.

Wide range of applications
The new 782 Ex beacons from WERMA can provide signalling in gas or dust explosion hazardous areas covering zones 1 and 2 as well as 21 and 22.

Salt water and fuel resistant for the most arduous applications
The powder coated aluminium die-cast housing provides effective resistance to salt water, fuels including aviation kerosene and UV radiation. The glass lens is made of toughened borosilicate glass thus ensuring that the beacon can withstand even the most arduous environmental conditions.

Maintenance free operation
Using the latest LED technology, the WERMA beacon is virtually maintenance free. The LED lights have a life typically in excess of 50,000 hours

Tested and approved
The beacon has been certified by the marine and shipping authorities in Germany. The WERMA 281 beacon meets the requirements of the "General Administrative Provision for the Identification of Aviation Obstacles" in Germany, and the specifications of the international civil aviation organisation ICAO ("Low Intensity Obstacle Light, Type A").
