The explosion occurred just east of Glenrock near Ross Road and is currently under investigation by a Samson emergency response team and several state and federal law enforcement organisations.
"Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of those who died in this accident," Samson Senior Vice President of Operations Phil Schmucker said. "Samson will work closely with federal, state, and local officials to assist with the investigation of this tragic accident, and will work with the combined team to provide updates on the situation as the investigation continues."
Samson’s oil and natural gas activities originate from headquarters in Tulsa, Oklahoma and include most major oil and gas regions in North America. The company operates more than 4,000 wells and has interests in over 11,000 wells.
