Atex Zone 2 classification relates to the installation of equipment and machinery and Stertil Stokvis was chosen to supply loading bay equipment which would fully meet the requirements of the directive for Valspar Europe.
The Deeside operation sees an average of 25 trailers and container vehicles a week arriving to load and unload palletised drums and IBCs. The equipment supplied and installed by Stertil Stokvis included a six tonne capacity telescopic lip dock leveller - type XP22-21, a WI fully-inflatable dock shelter, a roller shutter door, specially-extended PE dock bumpers and a Combilok vehicle restraint system.
“The location of the loading bay at the Deeside site means compliance with all Atex Zone 2 requirements is essential,” says Paul Thomas of Valspar Europe.
