Last week, firefighters were called to Bairds Malt in Inverness after dust in the hopper areas of the building exploded.
Crews attending to the incident used breathing apparatus, a main jet and a hose-reel jet to eventually extinguish the burning site.
They were then called back to the site around two hours later to deal with a separate fire in the roof of the industrial site.
A fire brigade spokesperson stated: "It appeared the first call was a dust explosion in an industrial building. But we got another call to say there was a separate fire there, this time in the roof space We will be liaising with site engineers."
An investigation has been launched into the cause of the fire.
The company, formed in 1999, has an annual production capacity of 255,000 tonnes of malt.
