The AEMT is The Association of Electrical and Mechanical Trades founded in 1945. It is an International Association representing leading companies in the service and repair industry. They supply, install, service, maintain, and repair, electric motors, drives, pumps, fans, gearboxes, generators, transformers, switchgear, and ancillary equipment. Most members also have well equipped mechanical engineering facilities for the repair and refurbishment of worn components and for metal fabrication. S

It has a membership of over 350 companies internationally, which include manufacturers, suppliers and repairers of Hazardous Area Equipment. The companies supply, service, and maintain motors, pumps, fans and drives.

The AEMT has provided training and technical support to a large section of industry for over 25 years on the maintenance and repair of Hazardous Area Equipment to the international standard: IEC 60079 19. Many members now operate IEC audited Repair facilities and are listed on the AEMT International Ex Repairer Register for the UK, Gulf, and South East Asia.
