Davis Derby - HazardEx 2012 Exhibitor

06 January 2012

Davis Derby is a leading designer and manufacturer of safety related electronics operating globally in a wide variety of hazardous areas. This includes Underground coal mining, offshore installations and other hazardous and arduous environments.

At HazardEx 2012 we are exhibiting three new products and our enhanced man and asset RFID tracking system.

Our Intrinsically safe IP Camera comes with the ability to utilise existing 10/100 Ethernet infrastructure. The Camera Deploys a 5 Mega Pixel CMOS sensor giving the ability for jpeg stills and 720p HD streaming video at up to 30 FPS, vastly improving upon standard CCTV solutions.
The Intrinsically safe Flexible Display has a large RGB LED Display that can be programmed with custom messages and images or updated real-time via 10/100 Ethernet or CANBUS. This means that all signs on the network can be updated from a central server and be used for evacuation, fire team guidance and first aid.

Our Intrinsically safe Ethernet Switch eliminates the need for flame proof enclosures and barriers, perfect for use where space is at a premium. It has 3 electrical and 2 optical ports, allowing up to 10km between switches over single mode optical fibre.
The RFID Tracking system has been improved with new antenna design reducing the footprint for less impact onto walk ways. Using our proven MineSCADA system to interface with antennas and reader locations across the installation we can give a topographical view for incident management and prevention.
