E2S introduces GNEx range of ATEX and IECEx approved Exe d explosion proof manual call points
29 March 2012
Designed for the manual activation of fire alarms, gas detection and emergency shutdown systems, the units are environmentally sealed to IP66 in GRP housings. They meet the requirements for rugged, corrosion resistant non-metallic units for both onshore and offshore environments, and E2S says they offer outstanding reliability when installed in harsh environments.
They come in a range of colours, including striped versions, and different systems can be colour-coded to enable rapid visual identification in an emergency.
Available with break glass, push button and push button with tool reset operation, a comprehensive range of standard accessories such as a stainless steel lift flap, labelling options for stainless tags and duty labels are available. Series and EOL resistors in a range of different values can be fitted to all models as required and DPDT switching and LED indicators can also be specified.
The introduction of this new family complements the well-established aluminium-bodied explosion proof and intrinsically safe call points, the BEx range of explosion proof sounders, beacons and loudspeakers, the E2x family of lightweight, corrosion free PPS plastic and impact-resistant ABS units and the intrinsically safe IS-mini modular sounder and beacon family.
