HSE Offshore Workforce Involvement Group event scheduled for Aberdeen

The Holiday Inn, Westhill, Aberdeen will be the venue for another HSE Offshore Workforce Involvement Group (WIG) event on Tuesday 01 May 2012. Following the success of previous WIG events, places available have been raised to 80.

HSE Offshore says the all day event and will include several case studies of best practice presented by offshore workers, and a presentation by the HSE on the importance of workforce involvement.
The WIG mission statement is to stimulate lateral learning and best practice across the offshore industry through involvement of the whole workforce, with the aim of improving safety by:
* promoting greater workforce involvement in health and safety in the workplace;
* encouraging voluntary expansion of workplace health and safety representation; and
* sharing and promoting industry best practice to raise workplace health and safety standards.
The venue for this event has been provided by the International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC).
