Cenelec Standards Inspections Ltd was formed in 1982 by current Managing Director Alan Gibson to assist companies with their requirements to inspect and maintain electrical and instrument equipment in potentially explosive atmospheres.

Cenelec Standards Inspections has been operating for 30 years
Operating in both onshore and offshore environments, Cenelec Standards supplies services in line with the most recent standard BSEN60079-17, supported by DSEAR (Dangerous Substance Explosive Atmospheres Regulations) and ATEX 94/9EC, the equipment directive.
In 1992, Alan was joined by his youngest son, Jonathan, and staff numbers are now in excess of 50.
All field personnel have a minimum of ten years petrochemical experience, are CCNSG Safety passport holders, and CompEx approved for gas, vapour and combustible dust covering modules Ex01-Ex06. They are fully trained on Cenelec Standards inspection and maintenance procedures for close and detailed grades of inspection and repairs, as well as the handheld technology software associated with our services.
