Members of the public will also hear from inspectors with responsibility for regulating safety and security at the existing Hinkley A and B sites, along with the proposed Hinkley Point C site.
On August 13 the Environment Agency began a public consultation on draft decisions for three environmental permits for Hinkley Point C. Information on how to respond and copies of the consultation documents are on the Environment Agency’s website www.environment-agency.gov.uk/hinkleypoint
The ONR said on August 14 that two Generic Design Assessment (GDA) issues had been closed on the EPR reactors planned for Hinkley Point C, and that all outstanding issues for the planned new nuclear power station at that site could be resolved by the end of the year.
