12 April 2013
Lewden:Palazzoli, one of the leading European manufacturers of electrical systems for the railway sector, will be highlighting a completely new range of PD mechanically robust metal industrial plugs and sockets, redesigned to incorporate improved operational and installation features.
Also on display will be Lewden Palazzoli’s Tais (GRP thermosetting) and Alupres (aluminium) ATEX ranges, now hallmarked by a black conductive anti-static paint finish, a necessary and desirable feature, according to the company, for applications in areas at risk of explosive atmospheres as defined in ATEX Directive 94/9/EC.
Visitors will also be attracted to the TUNNEL 54 series, designed to supply power for ventilation and illumination in compliance with the European Directive 2004/54/CE and current national regulations .The TUNNEL54 series consists of flameproof, smokeproof and rodentproof devices in aluminium alloy or AISI 316L stainless steel. They are built to ensure continuous service even in fires and are certified by internationally accredited laboratories.
The stand also features Alupres sockets, designed and manufactured for heavy duty application in tunnels, hazardous area environments and general outlets. Fully compliant with LUL standard 1-085 A3, they have a protection rating of IP66/67 and impact resistance in excess of IK10.
Completing what the company predicts will be its busiest Railtex yet, will be a range of trackside power distribution units, and the range of Unibox aluminium junction boxes to provide IP66 and IP67 ingress protection for switching, instrumentation and control gear.
