Elfab to unveil new burst detection system at Offshore Europe
29 August 2013
Pressure management specialist Elfab will unveil the Ex d-approved burst detection system, the Flo-Tel XD, on stand 4B141 at Offshore Europe. Non-invasive and fail-safe, Elfab says the Flo-Tel XD is the first system of its kind available on the market.
For over a decade, Elfab’s Flo-Tel detector has indicated when a rupture disc has functioned within harsh operating conditions. The new design negates the need for intrinsic safety barriers, making it more cost-effective. Including an Ex d junction box with M20 tapping, Flo-Tel XD accepts industry-standard cable glands and is suitable for use in Zones 0, 1 and 2.
Elfab will be formally demonstrating the product twice a day, at 11am and 2pm. The company will also show a selection of products and videos, focusing on the Opti-Gard rupture disc range and Flo-Tel + burst detection system.
Elfab’s delegation will include: Deborah Bevan, marketing director; Philip Fedosenkov, regional sales director; Guy Boomer, contract manager; Michal Perczynski, technical sales engineer; and Andrew Carr, customer services representative. Managing director Simon Keenan and operations director John Fulton will attend the event for one day each.
Fellow Halma subsidiary Smith Flow Control will be sharing Elfab’s stand. Simon Read, SFC’s project sales manager, will be demonstrating the portable valve actuator EasiDrive. The tool facilitates the operation of valves requiring a large number of turns, or which are otherwise problematic due to high torque or adverse environmental conditions.
