Hazardex 2016 International Conference & Exhibition: "Overall, very good!"

18 February 2016

Hazardex 2016, the two-day International Conference & Exhibition for hazardous area and process safety specialists, took place on 24th & 25th February 2016 at the Holiday Inn Hotel in Runcorn, Cheshire, UK. Initial feedback has been uniformly positive, with particular praise for the content and pacing of the conference.

The event aims to strengthen and expand the community that looks to the Hazardex website and journal for industry intelligence and information. The 2016 edition achieved this by all measures. Stand numbers at the exhibition were up 30%, and delegate and visitor numbers up 40% on the last edition in 2014.

The event was well received by delegates, who reserved special praise for the quality of the conference programme and the positive and focused atmosphere throughout.

One delegate said: “The general mood of the conference and dinner was excellent,” while another applauded the exceptionally smooth organisation of the event. “Overall, a very good conference,” said a third.

Several voiced approval at the unrushed nature of the conference programme, with presenters given ample time to deliver on their topic and answer questions from the floor.

Many exhibitors expressed satisfaction with the quality of contacts they had made, to the extent that 75% had rebooked for next year’s event before the show closed!

We aim to do even better in 2017 and will be putting together an even stronger conference programme over the next few months. Next year's edition will be taking place at the same venue, the Holiday Inn Hotel in Runcorn, on March 2 & 3.

If you would like to submit a presentation, contact Russell Goater, who will also be happy to provide details of sponsoring and exhibiting packages, as well as conference and exhibition attendance.
