Linear measurement over long sensing distances – NOW WITH ATEX APPROVAL

14 July 2015

Sensors UK has expanded its wide range of laser distance sensors with the addition of ATEX (EX II 2G EEx d IIC T6) approval for its flagship model the FLS-C-10. The FLS-C laser distance sensor measures absolute distances up to 500m, contact free, with an accuracy of ±1mm. The repeat accuracy is ±0.3mm with measurement values being updated at a frequency of up to 200Hz.

The FLS-C units offer accuracy up to ±1mm independent of measuring ranges and gives either a wide range of output options such as a  programmable 4~20mA or RS232C output and SSI as standard.  There are even three digital outputs, two of which can be programmed as relay alarms.

Long distance laser sensors are suitable for both dynamic and static applications. They can be used to measure distance, level and position, and to detect motion. Pairs of sensors can be mounted to measure thickness, length and diameter. Highly cost-effective, laser distance sensors are easy to set up and install.
