Hackers demand $50m from Saudi Aramco following 1 terabyte data leak 27 July 2021

Saudi Aramco has confirmed that company data has been leaked after cyber criminals demanded $50 million (£36.5m) in cryptocurrency from the oil major. Aramco said in a statement that there was an indirect release of a limited amount of data which was held by third-party contractors. The company’s own systems were not breached, and the leak has had no impact on operations, it said....

A new report by FireEye, a cybersecurity firm, claims that a group of hackers targeting the aviation and petrochemical industries in Saudi Arabia, the US and South Korea, is suspected of working in Iran for its government. At least 11 killed in Saudi Aramco compound fire 01 September 2015

A fire at a residential compound for foreign workers of Saudi Aramco, the state-owned oil giant, killed at least 11 people and injured more than 200 on August 30, according to local officials. Three killed in Saudi offshore rig incident 03 January 2014
