In the first incident, three people were hospitalised following a flash fire on June 5 at Summit Midstream’s Hereford Ranch Plant in northern Weld County near Grover on the Colorado-Wyoming border. According to local media, three contractors were working on a compressor when the fire ignited and all are now being treated for burns. Two are thought to be in critical condition and were taken by air ambulance to hospital....
Canada’s federal government has announced it will buy the Trans Mountain pipeline from Kinder Morgan for C$4.5bn (US$3.4bn) to ensure plans to expand the pipeline go ahead. There are reports of an explosion that has injured five people at a plant in north-eastern Illinois.
