Medical marijuana company fined $142,000 for October 2020 explosion 15 April 2021

A producer of medical marijuana has been fined $142,000 (£102,000) in relation to an explosion that injured two people at a facility in Santa Fe, US in October 2020. The New Mexico Environment Department fined New MexiCann Natural Medicine on April 14 for six worker safety violations, including failing to implement controls for flammable vapours and ignition sources, and unsafe handling of hazardous chemicals....

ScottishPower announces plans for UK’s largest electrolyser as part of green hydrogen plant 14 April 2021

On April 12, ScottishPower announced that it had submitted a planning application to deliver the UK’s largest electrolyser. The 20MW electrolyser will be the key component of a green hydrogen facility located close to ScottishPower’s Whitelee windfarm. The planning application also includes proposals for a combined solar, up to 40MW, and battery energy storage scheme, up to 50MW, to help power the electrolyser....

Sinopec's first green bond issuance 14 April 2021

On April 2, China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation successfully issued a "green bond" for the first time. The equity-funded carbon neutral bond issuance scale is 1.1 billion yuan (£122m) and the issuance period is 3 years.
